By far one of the most mentioned books that I have come across. Mr. Passman does a great job on giving you a preview of things to come in the music industry.
Marketing 101 for the musician is the best way to describe this book. It has countless of good ideas to "spread your message."
This book serves as a quick to releasing independent records. Another great resource to have. It's two hundred pages filled with important information. I often go back to it as a quick resource.
The Music Business (Explained in Plain English) is one of my favorite reads. It's short and sweet. "It is what every artist & songwriter should know to avoid getting ripped off!" David Naggar, Esq. and Jeffrey D. Brandstetter, Esq. sums up important information in a quick read book.
This is yet another good book to read. The writers are European and the monetary values are expressed in pounds. This meant that I spent some time doing the conversions to dollars. Besides that minor inconvenience, the book was great.
This book gives you the dirt from the producers prospective. Definitely worth buying and I highly recommend it.
